HALFWAY!!!! That’s right. Today marks the halfway point for 80 Day Obsession. We’ve done 40 of the 80 workouts that Autumn has in store for us. Below are progress photos from Day 1 to Day 40 for both my partner and I. It is pretty amazing. I’m experiencing changes both visible, and not seen. Let’s start with the visible ones (which you can scroll down and look at). I have significantly more muscle! Wow! Look at the change in definition in my pecs, my shoulders, and my arms. I realize I didn’t flex in my before photo, which I think is because I felt there was nothing to flex about. I realize now why after photos have such fun engaging poses while before photos don’t. I’ve shed off more fat. Which makes sense, as I’ve lost weight while clearly gaining muscle as well. My partner is really starting to build out his abs, which is most apparat in the sides of his abs. The photo of his back show clearly all the back muscles that are developing. It is amazing.
Now here are the hidden progresses. I feel better! Seriously. I feel healthier. I have more energy. I feel stronger. I am happier. When I walk around I stand taller and have better posture. I don’t know if this is confidence, building muscle, or a combination of both. I’m guessing it is a combination of both. Truthfully making it this far in this program, and sticking with not just pushing play on the workouts, but the rigorous eating schedule of the nutrition plan has been a huge victory. We are both so proud that we’ve stuck with it. That has been a huge mental boost. Plus showing up for the workouts week by week and seeing the growth in not just what I lift, but in my ability to execute the moves. Holding myself up instead of constantly falling over. (I still fall over, but not constantly).
Today was an awesome day. Cardio core was the workout, and it got me tired! That cardio gets me every time. We got it out of the way early, before I had to go to work. I managed to get pictures of a few of my meals. It’s harder to remember when I’m not eating at home. Plus I found salad on my desk chair. LOL. I eat at my desk a lot because I’d feel weird taking breaks to eat every 2 hours.
