80 Day Obsession – Day 29

Today is Valentine’s Day! And day 29 of 80 Day Obsession. And only my second full day at the office. We struggled to figure out how we could do at least a little something romantic without getting too stressed out about it.

First, we got up at 6am and had our pre-workout meal. No picture of the meal because I was half asleep. (I guess technically, first, we prepared the pre-workout meal the night before). Then we laid back down because we eat an hour before our workout. I had big plans of getting work done during that hour, but I was so tired, I just laid back down.

Today was our first Total Body Core workout during Phase 2. Kind of the same workout, but also, kind of not at all! This was a lot of weights. It took our workout moves from Phase 1 and built on them in a big way. I struggled to keep up with the new moves, and my muscles were definately tired afterwards.

Starting the new job has required a whole new level of discipline in packing my meals. I pre-made meals the night before, and then my partner packed them up for me before I left in the morning. Plus he snuck in a cute little stickie note for me (see the pics).

After work I had to hurry to get home. I commute from Oakland to San Francisco on the train, which always takes slightly longer than I anticipate. Then I got home and my partner had our big meal packed to take to the movies. The movies was our romantic stress free date. No pic of our food because it was dark in the theater.

It still ended up being a bit stressful because there was SO much to get done, and we used up all our time at the movies. But it was nice to “get away” and do something.

No chocolates, no romantic dinner that doesn’t fit into Autumn’s containers. Just a nice low-key movie with our pre-made, 80 Day Obsession approved, food.

Valentine’s Day workout. Couples that workout together stay together.
