80 Day Obsession – Day 46

If you’d told me 8 weeks ago that I’d start getting up at 6am, not even to workout, but to eat a pre-workout meal so that I could workout an hour later, I’d have told you that you’re crazy. The truth is, if I’d realized what was involved with 80 Day Obsession before I started, I may not have started. So I am so thankful that I had no idea what was involved, because I am so happy that I’m doing 80 Day Obsession. For no reason other than assumptions, I thought this was going to be a 30 minute per day program, and I wasn’t sure I’d follow the nutrition plan. I got swooped up in all the hype around 80 Day Obsession, and decided, ok I’m going to dedicate myself to this. Plus, there was a vegan version of the fitness plan, so I had lost my excuse for not following the nutrition part of the plan. And by the time I realized everything involved I’d already committed to myself that I’d do it, so I followed through.

We did cardio core at 7am, an hour after our breakfast/pre-workout meal. I don’t really refer to meals as breakfast/lunch/dinner anymore because we eat 8 meals per day, every 2 hours, and none of them seem to fall too closely into the traditionally defined roles of such meals. The workout was cardio… so I was tired. Cardio always gets me. I always yell at Autumn when she says we’re on our rest round. I define resting as not moving… not jumping up and down like a have a jumprope. That’s just lower impact, not resting. These are the things a mumble at Autumn while trying to keep up.

I missed some pictures today. I was at work, and just forgot to snap pictures of every meal (it happens). But it mostly all looked the same. I scooped veggies from the huge wok full that I made recently. I scooped it on top of either quinoa or garbanzo beans, depending on whether it was going with a yellow/carb or red/protein. We got in our Vegan Vanilla Shakeology, which is super yummy. I put in just a little chocolate pea protein too and it adds an extra flavor punch.

Tomorrow is our next refeed day. And this time we are prepared! So tonight my partner prepped us some real goodies. Chocolate covered peanut butter balls and banana, raisin, oatmeal cookies. We are so ready fo refeed day. It takes all of my effort to not shove them all into my mouth tonight. Check back tomorrow for more on those treats!
