80 Day Obsession – Day 17

Cardio core. This one is always tough. So much energy is needed to keep this one going! I had to modify a few times. I literally couldn’t do any more of the workout at full power. I just needed to catch my breath. It was all I could do to keep moving and being part of the workout. I just kept moving, even when I was modifying. And not giving up is more important than doing it just like Autumn is doing it. I made it through, worked up a huge sweat, and loved it! Oh, and I was happy when it was over. LOL.

Backing up… when we woke up in the morning the bathroom light started flickering. We looked up and realized the half-globe over the light was filled with water! Our ceiling was leaking (which would seem strange since we are on floor 19 of 28, but it isn’t exactly uncommon for us to get a leak, but the bathroom leak is new). We switched off the light and contacted maintenance. A little later in the day we went to workout. When we got back the ceiling was ripped out! Luckily, my partner loves to talk to strangers in the elevator, so we have lots of friends in the building. We went to a neighbor’s apartment to shower. Picture this, me in the elevator wearing my bathrobe carrying a fist full of wet and dirty workout clothes. It was a sight. But we got showered.

Also today there was lots of food preparation. My partner did tons of it. I didn’t get pictures of all my meals, but I got lots of picture of the food prep. That’s all for today.

Even our tofu is lifting weights. LOL! This is our setup to get some of the water our before baking the tofu for quick use.
Lentils in the pot. They got a little overcooked, so they are kind of mushy. Plus some baked potato chucks to use in our upcoming pre-workout meals.
Pre-workout meal. Potatoes, tofu and veggies.
Zucchini noodle (aka Zoodles). We will use this for “spaghetti” later this week.
Cardio takes me out! Look at all that sweat! But I went hard!
Our post workout shower was temporarily thwarted!
My favorite is when our healthy fat (blue) is coconut milk, because I put it in my chai, yum! We also had a raw salad, which I forgot to snap a pic of.
Our cats are on a nutrition plan too, but they rarely eat together. I think the frequency with which their dads are eating together is rubbing off on them.

This was not my favorite. Spaghetti squash (veggie), with marinara sauce (fruit), and lentils in the sauce (protein), and pumpkin seeds (seeds).
