80 Day Obsession – Day 16

Booty, but also self care day. Alright, well we had a really intense work-out, but we still earmarked this for self-care. After our long and intense weekend, we knew we needed to take some self care time. We got up around 7 so we could get in our pre-workout meal, our one hour wait, our workout, Shakeology, and our post workout meal, all before our 10:30am appointment for massages, and a day at the baths.

Autumn was totally on the same wave-length as us. The booty workout was so intense that she even said we might need a massage after the workout. Don’t worry Autumn, we’ve already got it booked! The workouts were again 3 by 10. We did three workouts, sets of 10, and we did that set of 3 workouts 3 times in a row. Then on to the next set of 3. The tricky thing is that the muscle you work only gets a very short break before diving back into that same workout again. Ouch!! It really made me sore. But I knew I was going to get a massage afterwards, so that probably helped.

After the workout we hurried off to our massages. It was amazing. I’ve been sore from the workouts, and sore from all of the energy output over the weekend. So every minute of the massage was heavenly. Then we spent some time in the dry sauna, the hot tub, a quick cold plunge, then some salt in the wet sauna, and back in the hot tub, and dry sauna for a little extra (well earned) relaxation.

Then we headed over to the movies for $8 movie Tuesday and watched the Greatest Showman. Lots of fun. We packed a couple meals on the go so that we could stay out enjoying our day off, and not fall off the nutrition plan. It worked out perfectly. Tomorrow it is back to work.
